     The website Platy-Plus is presented by Rick and Debbie Graham.  Rick and Debbie have raised, bred, shown, and photographed aquarium fish for over thirty five years.  They are hobbyist and not a business.  As a result some of the fish pictured on this website are not always available.  However if your interested in purchasing them they will place you on their waiting list.  Their fish are bred and raised in the fish room of their home.  Having raised and bred many types of egg laying fish including fancy goldfish and cichlids.  They now specialize in their own lines of fancy platies, variatus, mollies, swordtails, and other oddball livebearers.  Rick has developed his own lines of lyretail platies and working on veil platies and veil mollies.  We believe he was one of the first to develop lines of fringetail platies and crowntail platies.

     They have been members of the Greater Akron Aquarium Society (G.A.A.S.) since 1975.  In 1983 they were founding members of the Stark County Aqua-Life Enthusiast Society (S.C.A.L.E.S.).  Presently they are also members of the American Livebearer Association (A.L.A.) and the North American Goldfish Society (N.A.G.S.).  And past B.O.D. members of the Goldfish Society of America (G.F.S.A.).  They won the G.A.A.S. North American Grand Points Goldfish Championship and Kobayashi Award in 1979 and 1980.  In 2005 they were added to the North American Goldfish Societies Hall of Fame.  In 1979 through the mid 1980's they wrote a column in Freshwater and Marine Magazine (F.A.M.A.) titled Goldfish- More Than A Feeder.
